In order to give a big boost to its VoIP giant Skype, the company has started the sales of prepared cards in the UK by partnering with UK’s five biggest retailers, including Asda, Currys, PC World, Sainsburys’ and WHSmith with counting the sale to reach to over 1,400 stores across the country. The cards will be available in two denominations – £10 and £20 — which can be purchased in-store and then redeemed online.

Katie Walley, Head of Cards and Lending at Asda Money, said: “At Asda we are committed to helping our customers save money every day. We see Skype as an ideal way to make communicating more affordable, and the Skype Prepaid Cards will be available in over 200 stores over the coming months.”
