With as earlier rumors, The Japan Times confirming on this – citing sources – reporting that Sharp soon to be seen laying off its 3,000 jobs or around 15 percent of its total workforce, through early retirements and natural reductions. The company as by end-May has 21,000 people working under it, but now with the sudden changes, the company soon to be seen talking with labor union on the planned job cuts. The company faces a net loss of 100 billion yen (about $1.28 billion) for the April-June quarter, so such cut is natural.
