According to Nikkei, Samsung has won a patent case against its long-time rival Apple in its home nation of South Korea. The publication reports that Apple’s case dealt with patent covering the syncing of media files, eight Galaxy-series devices sold by NTT Docomo and KDDI alleged to have infringed. The Cupertino-based giant was seeking ¥100 million in damages but the judge brings the whole patent case in favor of Samsung argued that it was using different technology. The South Korean firm awarded a victory a week after it lost a landmark patent case in the United States resulting in paying over $1 billion to the Apple.
