Although the whole world (specially the Samsung lovers) are keenly waiting on company’s next week release of new Galaxy S-series smartphone: the Galaxy S IV, another news making the waves suggesting that the South Korean giant is working on to make a 5.9-inch phablet which it is planning to launch later half of this year, reports The Korean Times.
”Samsung is working on introducing a new phablet using a 5.9-inch organic light-emitting diode (OLED) screen,’’ an official told The Korea Times on condition of anonymity. The new device will be powered by the in-house Exynos octa-core chipset to meet the demand for faster data processing and downloading speed.
The move believed to be a part of Samsung strengthens its hold over the phablet market, where Samsung’s Chinese rivals ZTE and Huawei comes with similar products in the past. Further, the South-Korean giant expects to saw a rise in its phablet business giving an edge to its long-time rivals, including Apple.
