Yesterday, The Korea Times reported that Samsung is planning to put its footstep in the world of social networking and aiming to compete with Facebook by making its own current social giant-like service, codenamed “Samsung Facebook” to debut early next year, but today the Korean giant confirmed that the news is groundless.
Although, the company says that ‘Family Story’ has been available since February 2012 on Samsung Smart TVs, Smartphones, Tablets and the web. This service, like its name, is a family-oriented convergence service that focuses on sharing and storing families’ special moments. The company further confirmed that it is currently working on upgrading ‘Family Story,’ but this is far from a “Samsung Facebook.”
