Samsung Confirms Galaxy S3 Delay, Will Launch In The First Half Of 2012 At Dedicated Event

Samsung has confirmed that the company will not launch Galaxy S3 at the upcoming Mobile World Congress in Barcelona – but more proposed to hold a separate event to launch the new device. TechRadar received the confirmation from Samsung that the Galaxy S3, successor to its popular S2, won’t be appearing at MWC 2012.

“Samsung is looking forward to introducing and demonstrating exciting new mobile products at Mobile World Congress 2012. The successor to the Galaxy S2 smartphone will be unveiled at a separate Samsung-hosted event in the first half of the year, closer to commercial availability of the product. Samsung stays committed to providing the best possible mobile experiences for customers around the world,” Samsung stated.

Even during the recent Samsung’s earning call, company executive Mrs. Younghee Lee acknowledged the existence of the Galaxy S III. In response to an analyst question about the Galaxy S III launch date, Mrs. Lee responded, “We are still reviewing several options when to launch. We will let you know when it’s decided.”

MWC will surely deliver new Samsung tablet and smartphone devices but the phone that all Android lovers are waiting for but with the confirmed news we are not going to see the company’s next flagship handset until later in the year.
