RIM’s Heins Confirms BlackBerry 10 Is In Final Testing Stages, ‘Can Be Licensed’

The BlackBerry maker Research In Motion CEO Thorsten Heins in recent interview with Bloomberg has said that the BlackBerry 10 platform now is in final stages of testing and may end up soon being licensed. Heins pointed out by saying that RIM looking on how BB10 could be used by other companies, with comparing it with BB10’s QNX software. “QNX is already licensed across the automotive sector — we could do that with BB10 if we chose to,” he says. “The platform can be licensed.”  Heins also says that the company will expand in coming times beyond mobile industry with focus on automatic machine-to-machine communications or other mobile computing forms.
