We reported earlier today that Research In Motion started the ignition of laying process by firing the people in the batches of at least 10 people in the past several weeks, but the latest add-on in the report from The Waterloo Record states that between 2,000 and 6,000 employees, instead the first planned of laying off of at least 2,000 people across its worldwide. The whole lay off drive will result in saving the company’s $1 billion by the end of the fiscal year. Martin Chmiel, who personally cover Research In Motion believes that the manufacturing team had been hit the hardest, with hundreds of people departing in the past 24 hours.
