PlayStation 4 and Xbox 720 Will Be “Disc Based”

As per the report, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 successors will be “disc based”. Rumors have been making its mark in the industry that PlayStation 4 and Xbox 720 will both be “primarily disc based”. It is also quite possible that both will be announced at the 2012 upcoming E3 Expo in June. The news puts up all around that with the coming months, gaming goes completely digital.

About PlayStation:

The PlayStation brand is a series of video game consoles created and developed by Sony Computer Entertainment. Spanning the fifth, sixth, and seventh generations of video gaming, and the brand was first introduced on December 3, 1994 in Japan.

About Xbox:

The Xbox is a sixth-generation video game console manufactured by Microsoft. It was released on November 15, 2001 in North America, February 22, 2002 in Japan, and March 14, 2002 in Australia and Europe. It was Microsoft’s first foray into the gaming console market, and competed with Sony’s PlayStation 2, Sega’s Dreamcast, and Nintendo’s GameCube. The integrated Xbox Live service launched in November 2002 allowed players to play games online.
