We know that Nokia soon to cut 10,000 jobs from its employees’ base and with the current news heading all over the web that at least one of the people becomes the first victim who is already feeling the heat. A nine-year veteran of the company and often the public face in company’s various PR and communication roles, Nokia’s Philip Schwarzmann reports that he’s been out from his job, being the victim of massive layoff. Schwarzmann announced his departure through a blog post (The Verge) on his personal site, saying that he was pushed off a “burning platform,” which was itself an infamous memo from company’s head Stephen Elop leaked to the press at the time he and the company opted to ditch its own platform Symbian in 2011. Nokia is already under fire, with its results already on its way, coming on July 19, so we believe this is going to be just a beginning.
