Nikon Recalled 6,200 EN-EL15 Battery Packs Units In US And Canada Over Overheating Issue

Nikon officially starts recalling its EN-EL15 battery pack in the United States and Canada after hearing about incidents which resulted in overheating. The defect at present in D700 and D800 DSLRs battery packs from February to April of the year. The problem first acknowledged the problem and taken the initial action back in April, but now the issue widens up in full swing and taken by the US Consumer Product Safety Commission and Health Canada, which make it as illegal to sell the battery to consumers. If you’ve got an “E” or an “F” as the ninth character in the lot number, stop using the battery the time and all you can do straight away submit a claim to Nikon. There are total 195,000 units affected, but only 5,100 and 1,100 are located in the US and Canada, respectively.
