The new design comes up with a more flattened, angled, and windows-like appearance as compared the last one which consists of the four-pane Windows logo, mainly found projected onto a waving flag.

There is also other expectation too with the design like marking fundamental changes of design aesthetic combined with Microsoft’s Metro style Start Screen – the new flag will appear in the charm bar and will be activated either by touch, mouse or keyboard.
