Microsoft Releases Updates For Its Windows Server, SQL Server And Azure

As Microsoft on one side is planning to cut Windows RT software for tablets prices, Bloomberg reports, today at its TechEd event, the software giant released the upcoming releases of several of its products and services, including an updates to Windows Server, SQL Server and Azure.

The company confirmed that in June it is going to launch preview of Windows Server 2012 R2, SQL Server 2014 and System Center 2012 R2. For the SQL Server 2014, Microsoft in its blog post promised that it will release “short thereafter.”

Other updates include are for Windows Intune as company says it will soon to receive a refresh better design to help it better manage devices. The ‘BYOD’ or ‘bring your own device’ trend also extends to services. Counting overall, the new products are essentially hybrid systems which are working with both on-premises system as well as public clouds.
