Microsoft Finishes Windows 8 Development, RTM Ready Now

With lots of rumors and speculations finally turning into full picture now, the tech giant Microsoft today announced the completion of Windows 8 operating system. The final build is 9200.16384.win8_rtm.120725-1247 (earlier there was like war between going on over the final RTM i.e. it would be either 8888 or 9200, but it is 9200) will now be shared over to the company’s hardware partners within the next few days to turn it into as the part of ready PCs and tablets with availability to consumers on October 26th although MSDN and TechNet customers will be able to download it from August 15th.

Microsoft Software Assurance customers will get the RTM bits on August 16th, and Volume License customers without Software Assurance will be able to purchase Windows 8 through Microsoft Volume License Resellers on September 1st. The company “will continue to monitor and act on your real world experiences with Windows 8,” despite the RTM milestone, says Steven Sinofsky, Microsoft’s head of Windows.
