Speaking at the TechCrunch Disrupt trade show in San Francisco, the social giant CEO Mark Zuckerberg said that Facebook is getting “on the order of a billion search queries a day.” The queries are mostly searched for people, along with those users also using the site to find apps and businesses.
While asking about its latest recent hefty purchase, Zuckerberg said Instagram to remain an independent app and won’t force into Facebook’s infrastructure. “We’ll treat them like an open graph partner.” The company acquired Instagram for $1 billion deal which later due to uncertainty in social giant share price results in $735 million.
