Kantar: Android Grabs 52% Of US Smartphone Sales In US In April

According to the latest data comes from Kantar Worldpanel, Android took 52% of US smartphone sales in April while its rivals iOS and Windows Phones are growing faster. Google’s Android now having 51.7 percent of the smartphone sales for the three months period ending April 2013, while Apple’s iOS stands at second place with 41.4 percent, and Microsoft’s Windows Phone stands at 5.6 percent.

Talking on country’s telco operators, Verizon now stands at 36.3 percent of total smartphones sold while Sprint jumped to 13.1 percent. AT&T stands at second place with having a market share of 26.3 percent while T-Mobile holding a market shares of 11.3 percent. The research firm says the data shows that Windows Phone is strengthening in attracting feature phone users now more.
