Japan Begin Broadcasts The Next-Generation 4K Television Technology Starting From July 2014

According to The Asahi Shimbun, Japan will begin broadcasting the next-generation 4K television technology starting from July 2014, with interesting to note that the launch will comes two years ahead of schedule helping driving the demand for the ultra high-definition (UHD) TV sets. 4K offers four times the resolution of high-definition TV broadcasting that is now in place.

The initial date set for the launch was 2016 but thanks to the growing demand, the date moved to July 2014 while further to note that the country is also working in progress on 8K technology, which would be having 16 times the resolution of the current high-definition TV broadcasting with Ministry officials considering pushing the experimental efforts 8K broadcasting by two years to 2016.
