With earlier news we reported that Apple soon to launching a smaller size, rougly of 7-inch, iPad and will be priced between $200-$250. The Cupertino-based reportedly looking towards merging with LCD suppliers for an iPad mini, with an eye toward launching the tablet in the second half of the year, Taiwan news outlet Liberty Times reports. The publication further reports citing “market rumors” iPad mini could start shipping by the end of the third quarter with a goal of around 6 million units. LG and Au Optronics have already passed Apple’s certification tests to provide the tablet’s LCD panel.
