IBM Launches DB2 10, Infosphere 10 With Eye On Big Data

New versions of DB2 and InfoSphere software with an objective of managing more big data streams was launched by IBM. This new software is intended to incorporate with big data systems, compress data and offer rapid data warehouse queries. Similar to other data warehouse players, recognized tech dealers  are compete to layer in Hadoop connectors and talk the big data game. Oracle, Teradata and a bevy of others have talked about big data streams and connecting to Hadoop-based systems.

According to IBM, datawarehouse queries are up to 10 times quicker and storage space is flowing up. IBM’s purpose is to simmer patrons from Oracle. IBM is presenting data compression technologies dubbed adaptive compression and multi-temperature data management intend to speed up data delivery by moving it to hot and cold tiers.
