HTC’s First Ice Cream Sandwich Update Will Be Out By March-End

Android 4.0 or commonly known as Ice Cream Sandwich is slowly rounding up everywhere as a much awaited Android version upgrade with almost all the major phone vendors are working towards to come out with their own tweaks of the latest.

HTC is the latest to add has been working hard these days to get its Ice Cream Sandwich upgrades ready and the company recently on its UK and US Facebook page [US][UK] announced that its first round of ICS upgrades will roll out by the march end for the HTC Sensation and HTC Sensation XE, followed soon after by the HTC Sensation XL. In addition to this, company also confirmed that Ice Cream Sandwich upgrades will be coming later this year to the HTC EVO 3D, HTC Incredible S, HTC Desire S and HTC Desire HD.

Other vendors working towards ICS upgrade:

  • Lenovo:Lenovo plans to upgrade its popular ThinkPad Tablet to the latest version of the Android 4.0 operating system in the second quarter this year. The upgrade will provide users’ access to the latest version of Android 4.0 – Ice Cream Sandwich – provides user interface, connectivity, application and multimedia improvements. The tablet currently runs on Android 3.1 Honeycomb operating system.
  • Asus:Asus North America promised that the original Eee Pad Transformer would get its Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) update by somewhere around mid-February. The upgrade should bring the updated interface and will improve speed.
  • Motorola:Motorola has been rolling a small update, for Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0). The project been prepping out not only for the WiFi Motorola Xoom version but also for the 4G LTE equipped Motorola Xoom as well. The exact confirmation is still to mention that when it actually going to roll out the updates to its users.
