HTC One

Although yesterday only we reported that HTC Asia CEO Lennard Hoornik and Global Digital Service head Elizabeth Griffin departed from the company. HTC shared today that it has sold “around five million” units of its flagship smartphone, the HTC One since from the time it was launched. An unnamed executive speaking to The Wall Street Journal confirmed the news and stated that orders the company are getting are pretty good so far and are still more than what we can supply.

The company recently reported its consolidated earnings for the first quarter with the net income after tax of NT$85 million (a mere $2.88 million) on NT$42.8 billion ($1.45 billion) in total sales for the quarter while the earnings per share were NT$0.1 ($0.003) and gross margin was 20.3% and the operating margin came in at 0.1 percent.

If the numbers the company exec shared are correct, then might be it will see or able to get a light from the dark as after all with days passing on and the company is going down.
