HTC One V’s ICS Firmware Ported To The Desire S And Desire HD

Good news for HTC Desire S and HD owners – they need not to buy a new phone in order to experience the Ice Cream Sandwich as Xda-developers forum member proxuser (via Ubergizmo) has ported the One V’s ROM to the two devices, allowing users to get the similar experience as that of One V. The offering is still not complete as the user is still working on to fix up remaining bugs that includes you won’t be able to use the camera on either the S or HD, and the S doesn’t support USB tethering or use as a wi-fi hotspot. The proxuser has been steadily updating the post with its findings and updates. If you’re interested in installing it, you can head over to the Desire S or Desire HD forum threads to pick up the necessary files.
