Announced first at Mobile World Congress this year, HTC One S launched in Taiwan, but what to be noted here is that the phone instead of coming with 1.5GHz dual-core S4 processor from Qualcomm, comes with a 1.7GHz dual-core S3 processor. The change to S3 processor might be because of shortage of Snapdragon S4. The other specification includes the 4.3-inch display, an Android 4.0 along with Sense 4.0 skinning, an 8-megapixel camera.

HTC provided the statement to The Verge: As with many high-demand HTC devices, we always work with our supply chain partners to source models which will allow us to meet customer demand as quickly as possible. In cases where more than one part is used, we ensure the same high bar of quality in the part to provide an equal user experience.
