After launching the low-end HTC Desire 200 yesterday, the company today announced two new smartphones: the Desire 200 and the Butterfly S in Taiwan. The Desire 200 is a less expensive Android-powered smartphone while the Butterfly S is a top-tier device, reports Engadget.
Starting with the Butterfly S, the device features a 5-inch 1080p display, HTC’s Sense 5 UI, front-facing BoomSound stereo speakers, runs on Android Jelly Bean, quad-core 1.9GHZ Snapdragon 600, a 3,200mAh battery, quad-band HSPA/WCDMA radio.
The device further includes 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, UltraPixel Camera, Zoe software features, and a 2.1-megapixel wide-angle camera on the device’s front-facing side. The publication believes that the device will bear a retail price tag of NT $22,900 (about $766), while the Desire 200 will cost consumers NT $4990 (about $165).
