Lipstick

Girls, you all know how important it is to stand out of the crowd, and what better way to do so than with some gorgeous va va voom lips. Brightly coloured lipsticks are all the rage today, and if you don’t have a pout that shouts ‘wow’ then sorry but you’re just not with it! If you want to look amazing and wear the right shade of lippy then I suggest you stick to my golden rules of how to choose the right colour lipstick for your skin tone.

Pale Skin

If you are a pale skinned kind of girl just like Bella from Twilight than your best bet is to go for a bright red. Jumping straight to red may seem daunting, but if you buy lipstick with a blue undertone than you can’t go wrong. Pretty pale skinned girls should opt for lipstick that has a blue undertone. Light pink reds and blue toned reds are ideal. You may also be pleased to know that lipsticks with blue undertones make your pearly whites look brighter!

Olive Skin

If you have olive skin and a black hair tone than you are in luck. You are able to pull off pretty much any lip colour shade around. From sultry red to playful pink you can wear bold and daring colours to add oomph to any outfit. But bear in mind the colour of the outfit you are wearing as you just won’t be able wear bold lipsticks with any outfit as the colours will clash. Pastel pinks and peaches are warmer tones which will complement your gorgeous skin tone and your make your lips just ‘pop’!

Asian Skin

If you have pale skin than you will need to opt for colours that are more subtle. However, you don’t have to lose out on the wow factor. Darker tones will compliment your beautiful golden skin tone effortlessly. You should opt for plum, purples and even browns. If you want to enhance your beauty than you can even try neutral tones such as caramel or coffee. Be aware that any shades lighter than your skin tone will make you look washed out.

Dark Skin

Black skin suits most bright and dark purple shades. Brightly coloured lips will make you look drop dead gorgeous and suit your complexion perfectly. Berry colours are red colours which have an undertone of pink, if you are feeling daring than opt for lipsticks with purple undertones. Rich and dark colours such as caramel and brown look sultry on a darker skin tone. Sexy nude lips are also a must, choose a colour that is a shade or two darker than your natural lip colour. Mauve, pink and peach are also tones that will look great on you.

Ladies, I hope you have picked up some helpful hints and you will certainly be able to rock those brightly coloured lips with confidence this summer time!
