Groupon’s Announces Clicky, The Clickable Value: Spinning a Wheel that Allows You to Score a Discounts on Deals

Groupon announced its new way for getting more discounts on deals for the people, through Clicky, the Clickable Value Wheel. The wheel gives users the opportunity to potentially score a discount by simply spinning a wheel. The feature was designed in such a way to provide momentary distraction and meet the minimum threshold of amusement, required for users to share the wheel through social media channels, increasing its number of active customers virally.

According to the company, the wheel is one of the potential marketing instruments. Company want users to make user believe that with this the chance of win are slim, but still not impossible. The win ratio was determined to ensure the lifetime value of the new customers attracted to Groupon by Clicky will be greater than the total cost of the program, thus resulting into a sustainable and enjoyable investment for Groupon.
