Google Updates Analytics’ Real-Time Reports, Brings, Events, Shortcuts, Comparison, Filters

Google today updated its real-time reporting in its Analytics service with offering four improvements at par. The today updates brings in events, shortcuts, comparisons and filters by either of desktop, mobile or tablet. Sounds interesting to you as an Analytic users, here is the breakdown below:

Starting with, the first is the real-time events reporting this will lets you filter on event categories and actions as well as putting up the top events as they occur. All you have to do is to click on any of the event categories to see all the actions and labels for it, or you can set-up filters which will adhere on events at a particular segment of visitors generate.

Second offering is the “Create Shortcut” feature which will give you the freedom to see at certain segments of visitors in real-time without having to set-up filters every time. In order to make this happen, all you have to do is to open up shortcuts from the left navigation menu and click on any of the ones you have created.

Third is the pageviews comparison, this allow you to compare the pageviews of your segmented visitors to overall traffic, which will certainly help you out the time when you see quick comparison trends.
