Google: Patent Wars ‘Not Helpful To Innovation’

Google once again seen talking over the ongoing conversation about software patents and the way these patents effectives on innovation. CNET reports that Google’s public policy director, Pablo Chavez stated that the company (the search giant) taking very seriously at is the question of software patents and whether in fact the patent system as if the currently exists is the right system to make it versatile over on innovation and promoting consumer-friendly policies.

“We think that these patent wars are not helpful to consumers,” Chavez said in response to a question from Rick Lane, News Corp.’s senior vice president of government affairs. “They’re not helpful to the marketplace. They’re not helpful to innovation.” Google has earlier also criticized software patents before even this is not only Google, other also follows the suit, likes of Twitter, if one can see such as an example.
