Google Mail Becomes Gmail In Germany, Google Announced Today

As reported back in April, Google’s Engineer Director, Mark Striebeck has announced that starting from today Google Mail becomes Gmail in Germany. All new accounts will receive an address and if you have an existing address, you’ll soon be able to switch to Once you make the change, you will still receive mail sent to your address and all of your emails, contacts, and account settings will stay exactly the same. Plus, you can switch back at any time if you change your mind. If you are looking out for more information, you can check it out at FAQ.
