Google Appoints Punit Soni As Motorola Mobility New VP Of Product, While Major Restructuring Is On

Google has appointed Punit Soni as the Motorola Mobility’s vice president of product. As spotted on Soni’s LinkedIn profile (via The Verge), in his new role he is in charge of “all aspects of the product development including crafting strategy, building teams and executing to go to market.”

The company’s division, which Google bought back in May also on major restructuring as a result of which around cutting 20 percent of its workforce, and will close a third of its 94 offices worldwide. While there is a one third of the (4,000) jobs cuts are reported will be in the U.S operations.
