Google Announces Nexus 5: 4.95-inch Display, Android KitKat, Available From Today

Google today finally took the curtains off from its much awaited Nexus 5 device. The LG-manufactured Nexus 5 is available in 16GB and 32GB options and comes including with Android 4.4 KitKat. The device will goes on sale starting from today itself with 16GB bearing the price of $349 and 32GB bearing the price of $399.

The device features 4.95-inch display, which comes protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and features a 1920×1080 resolution (445 ppi). It is powered by a 2.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM and having a front-facing 1.3 megapixel camera and a rear-facing 8-megapixel camera.

The device will make its debut as unlocked and without a contract on Google Play in the US, the UK, Canada, Australia, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Japan, and Korea today while for India, the company currently says “coming soon” with more countries to follow.
