Google Chromecast

Google today announced the launch of Chromecast, a small HDMI and USB-based dongle. The hardware allows users to stream videos from a phone or tablet to their TV using Chrome. “Everyone loves their phones, tablets, and laptops,” said Google. “Unlike other solutions, we will not force you to have the same operating system on all your devices.”

The company further added that the hardware will receive input via an app and will display high-res content from the cloud to the device. Chromecast works with both YouTube, Google Music, Pandora, Netflix and more. In short, Google bring on a new rival in the market against the Apple TV, Roku and other set-top boxes available in market. You can purchase the Chromecase via the Google Play Store for $35.
