Last day seems to be a big bash day for web hosting service Go Daddy which confirmed that its sites have been attacked under a massive Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) by a member of the Anonymous hacktivist group.
The attack not only takes Godaddy.com down, but it also affected some of GoDaddy hosted email accounts down as well although the whole service comes back online and no information was compromised during the attack.
The company has not provided details on what’s taking place exactly, but hacker group Anonymous has claimed to be taken credit for attack on Twitter. One of the Anonymous hacktivist group members “AnonymousOwn3r,” says he wanted to “test how the cyber security is safe.”
Status Alert: Hey, all. We’re aware of the trouble people are having with our site. We’re working on it.
