French Government Over Yahoo-Dailymotion Deal: It Would Be A Real Shame To Let It Go

With report earlier suggesting that Yahoo will be tended to buy as much as 75% stake worth $200 million in Dailymotion which WSJ source suggest deal worth $300 million, the popular French-based video service, the country today rejected the deal saying there is hardly any content companies from France which being succeeded on the web in the recent years, and letting it go would be a real shame.

Isn’t it sounds like a real messed up statement? Le Monde did an early reporting over the matter, quoted on what government officials said about it: “Dailymotion is one of the rare content companies from France that succeeded in on the web in recent years..it’s a gem and, more over, doesn’t lose money. It would be a real shame to let it go.”
