European Carriers Starts Stockpiling Nano-SIMs Ahead Of Next iPhone Launch

The nano-SIM finally got its wings last month when European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) chosen Apple’s proposal. The 4FF card will be 40% smaller than the current smallest SIM card design, at 12.3mm wide by 8.8mm high, and 0.67mm thick. Well, that’s the description but what The Financial Times reporting that European mobile carriers started ordering nano-SIMs ahead of next iPhone launch. The nano-SIM card seems to be the only piece of the phone that we have as of now, while Apple itself had not disclosed anything yet about its upcoming iPhone version. The publication noted one thing that Apple’s iPhone latest instalment – the iPhone 5 will likely be similar in size to the iPhone 4.
