According to comScore latest study, 15.5% of European smartphone users also own a tablet. The study revealed that smartphone penetration in European Union’s top five countries i.e. France, Germany, Italy, Spain and UK now stands at 53.7% with around 130 million people using smartphones in the three month average ending September 2012. But, what it brings interesting that 15.5% among them also own a tablet, compared to 9.3% last year.
Distinguishing on geographic basis, UK leads the way with 17.7% smartphone users also owing a tablet, with next in lineup is Spain with 16.9%. Both Italy and France have 15.1% tablet penetration among smartphone users, while Germany holds only 12.8% of the smartphone users having tablets with them.
