Chinese Writers’ Lawsuit Against Apple Over Apple eBooks Pirated Issue Gaining Heights

Apple is reportedly turning off from the ebook piracy issue from quite some time, over on which Chinese writers’ mainly ten in numbers are expected to file a lawsuit against the company. Back in January, three separate lawsuits already rounded up which involved 59 books with a Beijing court with constantly number of writers, including race car driver Han Han raised from nine to twelve.

“It is encouragement in disguise, because they did not punish the developers. The developers could have been kicked out. But nothing happened to them,” lawyer Wang Guohua told the Associated Press. The author claimed that the company is not doing much in order to prevent apps in store from offering pirated content. The three lawsuits are seeking a total of 23 million yuan ($3.5 million US) in damages.
