It would seems to be a perfect start away day for Chinese gamer as according to China Daily, the country’s official are planning to review a ban on gaming console which was established in 2000, which potentially opening up an untapped market for the biggies like Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo.
The story began back in 2000 when with fears of the potential harm to the physical and mental development of the young; seven Chinese ministers come together and banned the manufacturing, sales and import of game consoles in the country.
A source within the Ministry of Culture told the paper: “We are reviewing the policy and have conducted some surveys and held discussions with other ministries on the possibility of opening up the game console market.”
