China’s Huawei To Announce $1.9 Billion UK Investment

Reuters is reporting – via Sky News – that China’s Huawei is all set to announce one of its major investments of worth 1.2 billion pound ($1.9 billion) in Britain in order to take business to new heights in the country. The company aims to create at least 700 jobs over the next five years while directly investing 600 million pounds.

The company recently announced its performance for the first half of 2012 with sale revenue of CNY102.7 billion (about $16 billion), an increase of 5.1% over the first half of 2011. Operating profit was CNY8.79 billion with the operating margin at 8.6%, an increase of 20.3% against 2011. The company now deploy 38 of the 80 commercial LTE networks launched worldwide and LTE services now support 200 million people. And, now making such huge investment hopefully will turn into good flavors for the company.
