China Shipped More 3G Smartphone Than 2G In 2012 First Half

According to a report from China’s Sina Tech (via Tech In Asia), Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) has revealed that in 2012 first half, the country shipped more 3G phone than 2G phones. Going by number, it means that in total of over 190 million phones shipped, 107 million were 3G phones. Furthermore, according to organization, smartphones have officially taken the lead with more than a 59 percent marketshare by June. Although, what not to forget here is that Canalys last month report revealed that by 2015, more than 40 percent of smartphone in China will be priced below $200. With such good numbers of pricing below than $200, China definitely make something big high in smartphones number.
