Breaking: Former T-Mobile USA CEO Joins Rivals Vodafone In Less Than 24 Hours After Resignation

The bigger news coming up right now that T-Mobile USA former CEO, Philip Humm, which resigned from his position less than 24 hours, has joined Vodafone as chief for northern and central Europe. Bloomberg is reporting that the carrier had appointed Humm at the position and Paolo Bertoluzzo as head of its southern European business.

Yesterday, we reported that Philip Humm resigned from his position which was effective immediately and company’s COO Jim Alling act as Humm’s interim replacement. Humm at T-Mobile USA was Chief Executive Officer of the carrier’s USA division since 2010. Bertoluzzo will continue as Vodafone’s Italy chief in addition to his new responsibilities, the company said.

Vodafone is creating two new operational regions with the northern and central Europe unit comprising Germany, the U.K., the Netherlands, Turkey, Ireland, Hungary, the Czech Republic and Romania. The southern Europe region includes Italy, Spain, Portugal, Greece, Albania and Malta. Humm will start his new job from October 1. Vodafone Chief Executive Officer Vittorio Colao said: Humm and Bertoluzzo will join the company’s executive committee.
