Giving Google an edge for its Project Glass, Baidu is reportedly working on a new wearable tech product called Baidu Eye, reports Tech In Asia (via multiple sources). While Baidu representatives earlier not available for comment, but later the company confirmed that they are working on prototype which comes with a name dubbed as “Baidu Eye.”
Other publication Sina Tech citing knowledge-but-anonymous sources saying that Baidu Eye is something which will be worn just as glasses and will features an LCD display, can recognize images and even controlled by voice. There are although not much detail comes into light but believe since the first string already marked today, more will definitely come in coming days.
Interestingly, Baidy Eye will be an application platform which the third-party developers will be able to develop apps for. Also, as per report Baidu is also working with Qualcomm on working on to increase the battery life of the gadget to 12 hours or more as the company seems to be working on to create a wearable tech platform.
