When you think about a happy place to live, what comes to your mind? A great weather, a good home, a nice job, a helping community, among so many other things… But where can you find all this? Well, In Australia, for sure! The country has been considered, for the third year in a row, the happiest place on Earth, by the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). Things like housing, education and mutual support in the community really make a difference in this case, bringing Australia to the top of the 36 industrialized countries that make part of this survey.

Australia and its inhabitants can surpass most of OECD averages, making the country a true champ in the happiness contest. With 90 percent of Australians satisfied with their homes, a great average income, lots of time spent helping the community and a high rate in education, there’s no reason why the Aussies can’t be happy.Besides, they have some beautiful natural scenarios and amazing beaches, but that’s not by accident: they are really careful with the environment and that can be seen in the quality of both air and water.

And what about their health system? Well, Australians have almost 30 doctors per 10,000 people, which is the greatest rate in the entire world. And, although it’s the fifth most obese country on the planet, it’s the one with the highest life expectancy: 82 years old! And let’s not forget about the country’s good safety levels.

As you can see, Australia is quite special. It might have two of the most expensive cities in the world – Sydney and Melbourne – but the opportunities provided to the Aussies can fight all that and help most of the people having a nice life. Correction: not a nice life, a happy life! And An Infographic by Neomam Studio will put up a huge light into it.
