Interesting but an important note to believe, before Instagram was acquired by Facebook for $1 billion, an Android version of the photo-sharing app was launch. 9to5Mac reports that one of its readers reached out to Apple’s senior vice president of marketing after noticing that his Instagram account, under the name @schiller, had vanished. Apple’s Phil Schiller allegedly responded to the user via a Twitter direct message, “It ‘jumped the shark’ when it went to Android.” In a post on blog, Clayton Braasch (another 9to5Mac reader) writes that Schiller responded — 9to5Mac has verified the email headers. Now that its reach has expanded, Schiller wrote, “the signal to noise ratio is different.”
