With prior announcement of increasing wages of workers working at Foxconn factory, and Reuters recent report, Apple and Foxconn will share the initial costs of improving labor conditions at the Chinese factory unit which assemble iPhones and iPads. Citing Foxconn’s President Terry Gou, Taiwan-based Business Weekly (via ZDNet) reported last week that the base salary in Foxconn’s Chinese base will be increased from current RMB 2,200 ($350) per month to RMB 4,400 ($700) per month by the end of 2013. Gou also said the company aims to increase the entrance labor wages to RMB 4,000 ($635) by the end of this year in China firstly.
