In the wake of the third generation iPad we all are buzzed up what it called to be as – iPad 3 (or iPad HD? That comes in rumors a day back), but with the announcement of the latest version of iPad, the company cleared all the rumors and said that the new iPad will be called just as “iPad” – Yes, only iPad – no iPad HD, no iPad 3 – nothing – just a four letter word.

Apple’s Phil Schiller told The Wall Street Journal that the company made the move “because we don’t want to be predictable.” Well, on a whole we think what it termed to be as “marketing strategy” on the naming front as company taken this thing account and name the new version as iPad and nothing more – 3, HD, just iPad.

Learning about the specs, the new iPad has a Retina Display and is equipped with a resolution of 2048 X 1536. The new iPad also features an A5X processor with a new quad-core graphics processor, which according to Apple is four times as fast as the Tegra 3. The new iPad version comes with an iSight camera, which includes an auto-focus, auto-exposure, 5 megapixel backside-illuminated sensors with 1080 pixel stabilized video. Another addition on networking front, Apple’s has added 4G LTE and 21Mbps HSPA+ mobile networking.
