Reported by The Loop, Apple today unveiled “A Decade of iTunes” in order to celebrate ten years of iTunes coming into existence. The timeline features number of milestones for the iTunes Store by year, including iPod hardware, musical touchstones etc. Interestingly, the 2013 year list still stands short still, but includes one major milestone in which Apple achieved the download of its 40 billionth app from the App Store, with 25 billion songs via iTunes and 1 billion courses downloaded from iTunes U.
