Apple threat the developers that they will lose their account and even be banned from the App Store if they cross the line when promoting their apps – the company take such step after some buzz flying all around over the manipulation of App Store rankings, from the Touch Arcade forums thread. Such activities mainly done in lieu of buying up big quantities of clients’ apps which artificially increase their rankings results in ensuring further success.

The ‘Top 25’ power really means a lot for the developers and even the topic been a long point of discussion too, as the ending up at the top of the list can mean their difference between gaining place above the bar and the power of unsupportable downloads volume.
