Apple Got Green Signal Over Motorola ITC Patent Suit Against iPhone Proximity Sensor

Apple today wins the Motorola ITC patent suit challenging iPhone proximity sensor featured on the iPhone 4, Bloomberg reports. The Commission found that the Motorola Mobility’s patent is invalid because of different reasons.

The complaint originally filed back in 2010 by Motorola in which judge found earlier that Apple violating one of Motorola’s patents in an initial ruling while the commission today issued a finding with Apple not violating and terminated the investigation.

Matt Kallman, a spokesman for Google, said the company was disappointed over ruling and is “evaluating options.” On the other end, there are no words from Amy Bessette, a spokeswoman for Apple.
