Apple Announces iPod Touch, iPod Nano

As expected, Apple at its ongoing iPhone event today unveiled the new iPod Nano and Touch. Starting with iPod Nano, it is the thinnest iPod nano and having the biggest display with mutitouch, 2-inch display. There are physical controls along the side. It has a home button, just like the iPhone and comes in 7 different colors.

The new iPod nano also features FM tuner integrated having live pause, so you can pause or go back and listen to something again. The company even bring video back to the iPod nano along with all new Lighting connector. The nano having the longest battery life the nano ever had.

The iPod Touch is not just a great music or game player — it’s a great iOS device. The device is only 6.1mm thin. “The lightest iPod touch we’ve ever created,” the company claimed and it is made it out of high quality anodized aluminium. It further features iSight camera, Panorama mode, 5MP, Backside illumination, hybrid IR filter, five-element lens, Autofocus, LED flash, FaceTime HD camera, 720p video, 802.11a/b/g/n.

There are whole new headphones – the EarPods on which Apple spent 3 years designing. The prices: iPod shuffle, $49. iPod nano, $149. The 16GB comes at $199 while the new iPod touch, 32GB, $299. The new nano and touch available in October.
